The lint trap catches only part of the lint. The rest settles in the duct between the dryer and the outside hood, narrowing the passage until the dryer runs hot. USFA estimates about 2,900 residential clothes dryer fires a year in the US; failure to clean is the leading factor, at 34%, and incidents peak in January. We clean the entire duct, starting at the back of the dryer and ending at the outside hood, pull out lint, debris and any nests, and confirm strong airflow outside so your dryer runs cooler, faster and safer.
